  My steak was butterflied despite saying no to that option. It ruined it. It took away all flavour and was like an ordinary bit of meat from a chain restaurant.

  The good news was some of my party had a good meal. The steaks that were not butterflied were great. The Panna Cotta was lovely as was the White Chocolate Fondant.

  The dessert took an extraordinarily long time to arrive. When it did they brought mine first along with a wrong order. I then had to sit and watch it melt for a further 10 minutes as there was no spoon.

  The other desserts arrived at all different times. Two of us had the cheese cake of the day but it was inedible. It was incredibly salty. Staff spoke to the chef but he/she couldn't see the issue. We asked them to try ours but were declined.

  It had two mushrooms which even for minimalist modern restaurants was a little on the stingy side. I was advised they would remove the cost of the steak from the bill. My other option was to have a new one but I'd be eating without my family 20 minutes later.
